American writer and photographer Ted Polhemus has been running an art exhibition called 'Streetstyle' which carries on throughout the month of October focusing on British subcultures and the influence they have on dress. From Mods to Ted's and Rude Boys to Hippies his perspective on fashion photography expresses the continuing growth and diversity of subcultures in England throughout the 20th century.
The entrance is free and the art shows run everyday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Book Club, 100-106 Leonard Street, Hoxton and Shoreditch.
